HOUSE CALL VETERINARY SERVICES
1
Convenience
Instead of dragging yourself and your pet to the veterinary hospital and waiting for an appointment, our doctor comes to you -- On your schedule and when you need us.
2
Competitive Pricing
Our prices are very similar to a veterinary hospital, and often less. We aim to make our prices reasonable and resemble the local prices in the Monterey Penninsula.
3
Service Area
Serving the Monterey Penninsula: Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel and Carmel Valley. Other locations considered upon request.
We feel nearly everything you can do in an animal hospital exam room can be preformed in your home. Our pets are truly family members, and our goal of the home veterinary service is to bring back the lost art of family veterinarian and house call practice. We provide thorough comprehensive & compassionate care in your home when it is most convenient for you and your pet. Our at home veterinary service allows you to avoid the inconvenience of an office visit that include scheduling conflicts, transportation, crowded waiting rooms, contact with contagious animals, and most importantly, stress on you and your pet. In addition to the benefits of convenience and decreased stress on your pet, our house calls are helpful for people with busy schedules, young children, multiple pet families, nervous and frightened pets, and pets with limited or challenged mobility.

HOME EUTHANASIA & CREMATION SERVICE
In comparison to the typical 15 to 20 minute in hospital appointment, the time allotted for a veterinary house call is typically 60 minutes. This additional time allows you greater opportunity to ask questions and discuss your pets health. Also, the Veterinary house call allows for a more accurate diagnosis and medical plan as pets are relaxed in familiar surroundings and do not mask their illness as they do in a hospital setting.
In home care for sick patients includes full physical exams, diagnostic laboratory services, treatments such as medication and fluid administration, dispensing of medication's. Hospice care is also available, including quality of life evaluations, pain management and end-of-life care. If your pet is sick, Dr. Hurvitz will discuss if your pet will be better treated at a veterinary hospital rather than a house call. For example, when there are medical situations requiring immediate hospitalization, radiographs or surgery. Additional services include home delivery of medication's, prescription refills, food, and supplies. We feel that everyone and their pets will benefit from the Pet Docs at home veterinary services.
